Publicity
The Hirer is responsible for publicising this event. We can provide you with space to hang a poster and you may leave flyers in the lobby. We will include your show on the theatre website and promote you through our facebook.
Box Office
You will be able to use the box office on the days of your performances from 7pm for collection of tickets by your own member of staff.
All Tickets must be sold through ticketsource via the bull theatre website www.thebulltheatre.com
Bar
The theatre will provide the drinks and the bar staff for a fee of £25 per show. The bar can be opened before the show and at the interval.
Extras:
Technicians - £35 per hour
Microphones – £35 per mic per hire or £15 per show
Projector - £30 per show
Haze Machine – £50 per weekly hire
Hire of extra downstairs dressing room £30 per show
Bar staff - £25 per show
All extra lighting/sound requirements must be hired through JET Lights.
Weekly Rental Rate
£2,500 for the week’s hire, which includes one eight hour get-in on Sunday, four hours rehearsal on Monday and Tuesday, and four shows on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Any extra time needed for get-in or rehearsals is charged at the rate of £60 per hour. Get-out is on Saturday night after the show. Any further shows (eves or matinees) will be charged at £500 per show. The theatre will provide a qualified technician who will rig any lights for you and supervise your own technicians.
If you choose to use our technicians to operate your show, for either sound or lighting, the charge is £35 per hour.
If you are using our modular stage you must let our theatre manager know how you want it laid out, at least a week in advance.
A booking fee of £100 is required to secure the booking and will be reimbursed at the end of the hire. All tickets must be sold through our theatre website and we will deduct the total hire fee from your ticket sales and pass the profit onto you within 14 days. Any damages/breakages will be deducted from your ticket sales. Ticketsource charge a booking fee and you should take this into consideration when pricing your tickets.
All reservations are subject to the rules and regulations of the Bull Theatre and the following conditions:
All bookings are subject to approval by the Theatre Manager or designate.
The Theatre shall make available all equipment on the "theatre equipment list". Extras detailed can be hired for a further charge
Physical areas of the building available are the reception/box office, bar, theatre, 3 changing rooms and toilets. All costumes and props must be cleared into the main backstage dressingroom area at the end of each rehearsal and show .
The Bull is a no smoking site, including our car park /garden area. Smokers will be requested to smoke outside the front of the
building. No chewing gum is allowed on the premises. No food or drink is allowed in the theatre other than bottled water.
No alcohol is to be brought into the building. Our licensed bar can be opened with notice. We can open before your show and at the interval. The bar will close after the interval.
The Bull Theatre will not be held responsible for any damage or theft to hirers’ personal belongings.
The Hirer must leave the premises in the same order that they find it in. Rubbish bins are provided in the dressing rooms.
The hirer must provide The Bull with a copy of their insurance policy.
All chaperones accompanying children must have a CRB check.
The Hirer must provide the theatre with the number of seats sold and the number of performers (split into adults and children and genders) and where necessary the number of chaperones.
The building must be vacated by 11pm.
If there is anything you need for your show and don't see it here please ask the Theatre Manager and he will do whatever he can to help you. Our aim is for you to have a successful show and come back again as one of our regular hirers.
